An Island Gyal Livin' in the USA - The BeachesSubmitted by Dachye Stubbs on Tue, 01/28/2020 - 9:31pm
About 700 million people traveled to the Bahamas in 2019. The Bahamas may not be as famous as it is today without its beautiful world re-known beaches. After going home from the Christmas break, I was able to reconnect with some Bahama beauty. Having that said, the beach was one of the first places I went to.
The waters in the Bahamas are crystal clear. When I say crystal clear, I mean it. You can fill up an empty Kalik (A native beer of the Bahamas) bottle, and see straight through it. You can look at the water and see the sand on the ocean floor. You can even go to the beach and see the fish and other creatures in the water from miles out. The waters could be compared to an enormous bath. Also though it’s an awkward comparison, it’s true.
I think a great beach is a place where most people dream, but never end up going. Here in the US, you have a few nice beaches, but not all of them are as beautiful as people would like. I think pollution plays a huge role in that, but hey, it's life.
I would definitely conisider the beaches one of the Bahamas' greatest blessings. Considering that our economy thrives on the tourism industry, without those costadial entity we may not be one of the richest countries in the Caribbean.
I can sit here and go into detail about the Bahama waters as much as I want, but there’s nothing like experiencing it for yourself. There’s just a relaxing feeling you are overcome with when you feel the sand between your toes and smell the tropic breeze. The beach is my happy place. I hope someday it can be yours too.
