If you're anything like me, sometimes your creative pool can be dried up from time to time and needs to be filled. This article has a few tips that can help you be more creative. One of my favorites from the list is staying positive. Doing this can help because when you are happy, you can think more clearly. Thinking back to fond memories is an easy way to keep your mind and soul positive.

Something that has always fascinated me and scared me at the same time was the ocean. When I was a kid, I would always fantasize about diving into the deep ocean and taking a look at the Titanic wreckage. Now that is possible, if you're rich. A company called Blue Marble is planning on having tours of the Titanic's wreck site starting in 2018. The only problem is that it cost over a hundred thousand dollars per person.

Before reading this article, I had never heard of Alice Guy-Blaché. I have always enjoyed learning tidbits about the beginning of the film industry. It combines my love of history with that of film. Without those early innovators, we would not have the wide variety of films we have today. The comedy, action, and drama of silent films may not seem like much to some, but when you remember that moving pictures was a whole new world, it is quite astounding.

Last week, I had the privilege of going to the Native Crossroads Film Festival: Bodies in Motion with a few other Cowley writers. It was very fun as well as informal. I learned about Native American culture as well as some culture of Mexico as well. The first film we watched was called "Rariihuuru- The Letter".

Questions! Questions! Questions! Are you trying to come up with a plausible story to write about? Sci-Fi? Romantic? Adventure? The selection of topics can be overwhelming. What appeals to you? What do you feel comfortable with? Is there an experience you’ve had that can guide you? How much effort is needed to put into it? Do you have the requisite time?

Sitting in silence without any entertainment in not easy in our society. Some people are turned off at the idea of meditation without really understanding it. Something as simple as focusing on taking deep breaths, walking and clearing your mind, or even coloring can be meditative. One benefit that I found interesting when reading an article from Psych Central was the creative benefits of meditation.
